Commemorative Bsa I just purchase 4 of them last night from the u.s. mint all proofs, i think those silver dollars are awesome looking, i just wander how long it will take them to sale 350,000 of them and be sold out, i think i will wait until they sale out at the mint before listing them on ebay, I would like pcgs are ncgs to grade all 4 proofs but i am not sure if i would still make a profit.
Modern Coin Mart just sent out an e-blast newsletter (ad)... They are offering BSA commems graded by NGC as follows: MS69 $59 and MS70 $99 PR69 UC $49 and PF 70 UC $129 The image attached is what was received in email today from MCM. the mint sold early modern commemorative uncirculated silver dollar at an average of around $23.00 each. in order to equal that cost of $23.00 you got long time ago. and you want to sell it to apmex. the spot silver must go up to $27.80 an ounce. the formula is 0.77344 x $27.80 + $1.49 = $23.00. now the spot silver is only $18.00. long way to go. isn't it?.
apmex bid is 1.49 over melt. apmex ask is 4.49 over melt. 100 pc is 3.49 over melt. if we sell it to apmex. 1.49 over melt is the one we gonna use krispy.
Elaine, you always try to be a little outdated on older products to ruin modern colletors hopes., Do we think you buy the hundreds of thousands of coins from the US mint that say you do? NO...Please post pics to prove it. you never have... We all know you get your US Mint stats from coinupdate.com. Your secret revealed. Please continue your posts please, as we do like them, but please don't crush on anyones hopes and dreams on their coins... Thank you..
The Apmex silver prices for modern commems should be a good example to collectors of just how many lower grade modern silver commems are considered bullion at best! And how only the higher grade coins have a (limited) chance, for those that are or may grade in 69 and 70, bear any appreciable numismatic premiums. Collectors should be aware of this when considering to buy any future Mint modern silver commems. Buy them to collect personally not to try to invest or flip.
She has stated that she doesn't buy many different types of US Mint issues, it's here in the threads. Most who read these have figured it out and many who read these threads have at least some trivial use for the mintage/sales statistics posted... at least I can save some money not buying CDN to get the mintage figures by checking here and cross-referencing the coin blogs to check for accuracy
