Unfortunately, exhibits areas at most shows get little foot traffic. Many times the exhibits are in rooms or halls completely separated from the bourse, where most people want to be, and where all the dealers need to be.
His expertise would be frustrated here. It seems like 79% of the posts on CT are "how valuable is my mangled piece of pocket change?", followed by arguments about how their treasure is actually valuable. No offense to anyone, but it takes a lot of patience to be a regular here.
We're 'blue collar' here, for the most part. Frankly, most of the folks on that forum scare the beJesus out of me. At least here I can be my numskull self, but over there, they'd probably eat me alive.......
It's a bigger problem than just a coin forum. No one wants to read or learn for themselves anymore. Nice pics Green. Wish I could have made the trip.
Oh dear.......I got that one wrong. Sorry. I know the NGC guys are much better in temperament. Thought we was speakin' 'stuffed shirts'.........however, they was very nice to me the other day when I had a question about registry's.
Why I'm over here too. They got some pretty coins over there but there a bit to uptight for me. That and I got the nature to be able to piss most anyone off too
Bummed that I could not attend this year. Thank you @green18 for the pics and comments. Encourages me to definitely attend next year.
Be there, or be square Al. Fort Lauderdale in '17. A new experience for me, as I've never been there. Gonna be fun (FUN)..........
Been there many times, been all over the State, and earlier in my career, I ran a manufacturing company in Orlando. It is gorgeous...and I hope you really enjoy your first Ft. Laud experience! It will be worth your time and travel! And try to visit other cool Florida sites when you are there!
Well, Tampa was a first for me too, Al. I was really impressed. What a lovely city. And the infrastructure.........wow! Everything back up north is old and decaying, being held together with band aides.
LOL, yeah, True about the North. During my career, I have lived in 8 States and a couple countries. Every place has its great stuff, and not so great stuff. Agreed: Tampa is nice.
I'm not a fan of errors, but I do enjoy learning about all aspects of the hobby. I just get too frustrated trying to read the error forum here.
