Holy crap... we're up to Marcian?!? We skipped.... oh I don't know, maybe a dozen?

I don't think we skipped in terms of legitimate emperors and more common usurpers. Although I am curious if anyone has Maximus of Spain, Jovinus, Sebastianus...etc. or any of the western emperors after Val III for that matter....that would be neat to see ;)

The OP rules were officially recognized rulers, so most would be OK to skip. The hang-up would be Constantius III, who was a legit emperor - he's the first in the long line of emperors who are really tough to find.

I'm just about at the end of my road, too.

    - Constans II
    - Maximus
    - Priscus Attalus
    - Jovinus (also lost this one at Leu by a few hundred)
    - Sebastianus
    - Constantius III (the only one of the bunch to be recognized by Honorius)

    Valentinian III

The problem is so many fakes of little late Western Empire coins. They’re all so poorly made, it’s hard to tell what’s authentic. I’ve got a number which are suspect, but I think this Majorian is real.

I also have a relatively scarce Constantine III. He was formally recognised by the Eastern Emperor briefly.

    Here's a Libius Severus (w/ Ricimer):

And Galla Placidia, whom we may have missed:

I suspect Libius Severus may close us out for the west, assuming we don't want to continue with the Odovacar, Theodoric & the boys...

In the east, we missed Basiliscus:

I have no coins of the 8th century but a few of the ninth (Michael the Amorian with Theophilus, for example) but I'll hold off til then.
