My wife likes the hobby but nort as engaged as me. she likes bling like coins, while I tend to focus on rarity. I appreciate when she provides reality checks on coins that I may want to purchase.

Yes, we need more women and more diversity in the hobby!

Realizing how old some of your are and how frail you are, makes me want to consider never be a jerk to you old fogies.

why do you assume we are frail ? old is state of mind. yes our bodies are not young anymore. We are not even sure why you brought this up in the first place ? insulting old people will get you no where. we all are wishing you well in getting more mature soon.

 

Perhaps you will get lucky and never get to be this old.

All coin collectors and gun dealers fear the afterlife solely because we would hate to watch our wives and family sell our purchases for what we said they cost us. Better if we left them instructions for how to get top dollar for our rarities and good dollars for the commons.

 

I am going to kill myself at some point in retirement. I'm thinking around mid- to late- 70s. Maybe early 80s if physical health and mental cognition remain high in my 70s.

 

That seems very optimistic with your mentality. JMHO.

As I said in my first post way at the beginning. I hope you feel better. My own beliefs about how I will live my life are not a reflection or judgement on how you should live yours.

I want you to be healthy so you can make the decision for how to live your life. Each person being in control of their own life is the most important value I hold.

I want you to be able to exercise that!
