My bad, Mr. Ed. I wasn't referring to zinc plating, I meant the zinc core. Why didn't I say "zinc core" instead of "zinc plate?" I'm a horse's ass, I don't know. But it's what I meant, the zinc plate, underneath. My whole thing is, this is no Mint error, it's PMD. If you'll agree it's PMD, I still think it's paint PMD, but I'll let it alone. There's a good bargain, lol.
Now i have another one similar that I totally forgot about. So, this would be the same thing right. Copper just got scratched off or something to reveal the zinc underneath as well? The first coin is just in better shape
But you guys, the other example would have to be paint too and it's definitely not. How did the first example stay so nice and smooth and has a quite pretty silvery tone to it. It should look more like my second example wouldn't you think?
The first coin is a mystery. The others are just obvious scrapes. That's the difference. None of them have anything to do with them being painted.
I'm in agreement with @paddyman98 in that the first one looks different. The others are just the zinc core exposed. The plating can be scraped or sanded off like that, as it's very, very thin.
