    Don't worry, I've taken that award before. I started a thread a few months ago about Three Cent Nickels. Unfortunately, I spelled Nickel" as Nickle". I noticed the error right away but unfortunately couldn't edit the title. I wish CT would allow the OP to edit the title. People were kind to me then and didn't poke fun. I should have given you the same consideration. I guess the older I get, the more juvenile I get:)

    The OP can edit the title. Once the thread is created there is a "Thread Tools" button in the top right corner that gives you options including adding a poll, ignoring thread and editing title. Not sure how long before this disappears though.

    The mint produced cameos with the earliest strikes off of most of the dies of most dates in the Franklin series. Unfortunately, the numbers are not very evenly distributed, so collectors wanting to assemble a complete set of thickly frosted, deep mirrored cameos find themselves lacking in many dates.

    This disparity exists not only for Franklins, but also for every other denomination . . . each series has its own key dates and, curiously, they are not the same from one denomination to the next. My guess is that rushing and skipping steps to meet production requirements was responsible for poor preparation of the dies. Otherwise, one would reasonably expect that all dies for all denominations would have been prepared similarly.

    If you want a nice cameo in the Franklins, you'll likely get the most bang for your buck from a 1956.

    From what I have read type 1 to type 2 has a ratio of 1:10
    Pcgs pop report says they have graded 885 type ones and over 8000 type 2.

    I don't think PCGS or NGC would have given it a 69 grade (my take from these images). Possibly a 67.
