From my wife's loose change...

Periodically, my wife will give me a handful of change in an attempt to reduce the quantity of coins in her change section of her wallet. Yesterday she handed me a few and I put them aside to check later. Later just arrived and as I was going through the coins, one penny looked different. The IGWT was blurry to my eyes. Normally I would toss it into the 'return to the bank' bin, but I decided to get out the mag. and have a look. The IGWT is doubled as well as Liberty. The date is??? Since I haven't dealt with DDO variations before, I would appreciate opinions. All the questions asked about DDO's is making me wonder how many I have tossed aside.

The B in LIBERTY really looks doubled, I'll cross my fingers for you.

Number 007. Show a close up of Abe's mouth. Should be a small die chip in there.

Sweet find, Robert. Careful, someone may hold you for "ransom" in a bid to get that puppy.

Maybe I should begin searching the rain-barrel of pennies in the corner of my office.

Hope I didn't offend using the imoges. Just trying to make a return joke. Your comment was witty. Thanks for responding to the post.

It's a 1972. There are numerous Doubled Die varieties for this year. It's not the most desirable variety but it is one of them. As I do not collect varieties for the most part I congratulate you on finding this one.

PS Be sure to treat your wife to something special! :)
