How deep do you normally find them?
I'm so jealous. I'd love to see what they look like all cleaned up.

Scale is hard. Is it a Nero sestertius or as? The lips could be Viteliius but the letters look larger. How far off am I?

l found today findings mostly on 1-2 inches..l will not clean them because there is no quality to clean..l will spend my time for nothing..but, if l see quality bronze, like dupondius, sestertius or as, then no problem..this small bronze coins from today, have no quality..

dougsmit, you are not even close..its a constantinus ae3..l wish to be 'fatso NERO'
or vitellius sestertius..l was a witness 9 years ago, when my friend picked up from surface, NERO sestertius, decursio type, it was sold same year on auction for 8ooo swiss fr..it was top class coin, EF condition..he did not even use detector..pure luck !!!

I never find anything like that (except maybe the large spike).
