the creme de la creme of my collection of WW1 french tokens is a 1 franc coin for use by the british expeditionary force at the somme, for some reason i can't upload it at present but i will try again later.
I don't have any French coins or tokens, but this is one of my Belgian medals from WWI. Note that it has been paired with an 1839 medal proclaiming Belgian neutrality. Chris
there is also quite a large series of french notgeld notes which are much more collectable than their german counterparts.
nice, thanks for sharing. I have to admit, it's something that I never had, which is seldom I do have bunch of France tokens silver ones, they are so nice, octagonal ,look like a medals, I just like them. do you know any history behind your tokens? reason for issue and etc.
