G-d bless and keep you and all of us, during this challenging time.
Thank you, @LaCointessa ! I enjoy concentrating on my collections of French coins and military medals from time to time. I’ll be visiting the World Coin Forum more frequently now that I’ve been able to acquire my French collections from my safe deposit box. It’s been a number of years since I’ve added to those collections and I almost forgot what I had. With this shelter in place/quarantine in progress, I have plenty of time to photograph and organize my collections and post them here on the World Forum. Stay well, my friend!
@Deacon Ray, great write up as usual. As a French collector, I often have examples of the coins in your posts, but unfortunately none of the medals. And I really appreciate the explanations. And the illustrations are most helpful. Thanks for the effort.
Do I see doubling on your 1863 coin? The side of the coin bearing Nappy's profile? Is the mint mark "B" on the other side of the coin doubled? My eyes are failing.
Hello! Double BB - Strasbourg Mint!
Ahhh.... I see!! Thank you very much! I appreciate the response. Thank you @Razz, also...as well!
