I am not really interested in the real coin. I collect any and all medallic either minted by (in the past) or created by the Franklin Mint. I enjoy the quality and the look and could care less about resale value. The price pays for my enjoyment and nothing more. However I am not opposed to the real coin...its just a different thing to me. And there are plenty of FM items that have sold for much more than retail. I have sold quite a few of their more limited diecast cars on Ebay at huge premiums...but sold only because I needed to room for other items. There are no investment guarantees...not even with US Mint commems...so its best to buy what you enjoy and you will always "win."
