I found this thing in a very mixed lot. Coins from early 19th century to 2017. Tons of great stuff. The seller clearly did not know what they sold and did not put up good pictures. I gambled. I won. Well, I also won this thing. Any ideas? Look Islamic.

Persian wedding celebration token, they are fairly common. Usually made of brass.

I like the idea of gold much more than brass. But I guess you can't argue with the truth. Any source on these?

I'm not familiar with any English language catalogs that cover these. Just a lot of forum threads, such as yours, where people come across them or the new year's (nowruz) versions.
