you must have have quite a bit of junk in your house if you have reached the point where you are now discovering twenty dollar gold pieces in the basement that you had forgot you owned. Maybe you should consider holding a garage sale!:goofer:

I assume they just slabbed these themselves as a form of marketing back before the big TPG's had such a foothold?

All they sell now are PCGS & NGC slabbed stuff it appears...

It's worth more like $675. It's about one ounce of gold (.9675 ounces to be exact). So the minimum it will be worth is the price of that gold. In actuality you can add a little bit of a premium to that.

Also, not sure how you can possibly grade such small pictures.

Cool. I've always wanted a gold double eagle but I don't have 700 dollars to blow. Is there anywhere I can get one cheaper other than Ebay?

You can buy common date, circulated examples from many dealers for about spot price plus 10%. At current prices that's about $700.

All the more reason why we should get a video up on www.youtube.com .

What in the world does that have to do with bringing back old threads? Are you saying that you will quit bringing back old threads when someone puts a video on YouTube?

Speedy,no,I'm not saying that.I am hoping that we can get some of the older members to come back.

Some of the old threads are as relevent today as they were back in 2005.

But Aidan - if the old members are not even here to see that you brought back old posts - what possible difference could it make in their coming back now ? Your logic escapes me.
