Proof sets from the last 40 years will get a $1 ea offer at the pawn shop, if any. People who inherit them often just break them up and spend.
I have nearly complete sets of impaired proof nickels, dimes and pennies back to about 1985 from CRH. I always save them
    Nice finds!

I recently sat down with a lady whose husband had been collecting coins and sets since the early 50's - 7o's along with SEVERAL hundred wheaties and some IHP's. She had already cut into 6 or 7 of the proof sets and gave various coins to her grandchildren. Made her a decent offer and was fortunate to acquire said collections. Will go through them at leisure to see what I find. One that tops the list was an 1877 CC Morgan that I graded at MS 65+ Full Breast & Wings and not a blemish in the hot areas. Can't wait.

I thought 1878 was the first year for Morgans.

You are correct. Probably just a typo.

@Packrat is correct. @Phil's Coins ...could you have meant a Trade Dollar? Values for those are in the stratosphere in the condition you intimated.

Large fingers and small keys cause a number of my errors. Spell check takes care of the rest.

Large fingers and small keyboard on laptop makes me re-type frequently.

Yup, like the time I found 5 NIFC JFK's in one roll. Somebody needed cigarette money or something.
