Found new lincoln cent guide

    I found a great book yesterday.

    Whittman- The Official RED BOOK PUB. 2008
    A Guide Book of LINCOLN CENTS

    FOREWARD BY CHARLES D. DAUGHTREY

    Covers wheats thru lincolns cents
    Great photos of every year ,
    Grade chart for each year

    $19.95 got it for $ 12.00

    LOL - Even with my eyesight find it easy to read

    Making me apperciate Cents more

    Yes, it is a good book as far as it goes. It doesn't have the 88/89 transition cent listed and is missing a few of the collectible varieties. And it skips over many "Errors".

    But it's in my library also. It's a good "starter" book. IMHO

    That is what I'm using it for to start my knowledge on lincolns, there is probaby better books out there, but it caught my eye and the price was right.
    If I get more interest in them I will also probably update my research books. As knowlege is gained by research & studying.

    I have other books of Bowers' in this series. I LOVE them! They make good reading and great research materials. I plan to buy many more in this series.
