A while back I sold a struck through grease Lincoln cent on ebay. This is a picture of it. I found the same penny the other day for sale on ebay. here is the link.http://www.ebay.com/itm/U-S-coin-Lincoln-one-cent-19-it-may-say-94-if-turned-right-error-coin-coins-/150913485716?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&nma=true&si=MWwdQ2C0WAku3cnt2c5vKZ3xBZo%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc I just think that's neat.
Same seller: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1929-39-mer...68?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item23211521b0 Shure it isn't a coin wrapping machines work?
The dime is definitely PMD. The penny is not PMD. If had been a wrapping machine, part of the zinc core would be showing. Not only that, but the coin wrapping machines usually damage the coin closer to the middle.
I meant how much money did you sell it for, I'm asking because I have one like it and want to know its value
An object is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it at that moment. It's hard to say with these type of coins. I sold it for four dollars but I think it was only a one day auction. If I would have put it on there for longer it may have gotten more. But who knows? It have stayed at four dollars.
I have one like this also. Mine has 198 and hard to see the 4....but otherwise pretty much looks like this one. Must have been from the same batch.
I keep the best that I find for myself but after a while, I just put them back into circulation. Selling a penny for four dollars is pretty good profit but for the time spent dealing with posting, emails, going to the post office, to me, it just isn't enough.
I do most of my ebaying while I am at work when there is nothing else to do and there is a post office on my way home. So there really is no hassle for me.
