Noticed when I opened it from a Loomis roll. My first seeing this. Looks unusual. Help appriciated! 20210224_083508.jpg 20210224_083516.jpg 20210224_083539.jpg 20210224_083550.jpg

Very common in the 80s. Some have the appearance of a train wheel. Riding the rail!

Wow! Common. Been through tons and haven't noticed this before. Probably should pay more attention to the edge. Is this an error?

Tilted Partial Collar Strike on edge. Neat mint error.

You should be able to find a handful in every box you search. Keep the most significant and spend the rest.

I'd like to see also? I haven't had much luck finding a tilted partial collar strike on edge. :) JS.

I would have to look to see if I kept any. But 1986 P is the most prevalent date I recall. I remember finding a bunch of those over the years.

Edit: Found an old photo, so I may have kept a coin or two

Now that you see it...you'll keep seeing it. The one I am looking for is one with a narrow rib around the circumference, like bulging icing on an Oreo cookie. I saw a picture of one like that and thought it might have been a lucky penny or pendent coin. I'd be curious to know if others have identified 1986 as a particularly notable date for the collar error.

GL. I'm still in search of some 1950 and 50d for an album filler. Along with a few others.
