Maybe not "always" since that's a long time and we can't speak for the future especially in this time with fiat currency weakness... Was that $5.00 supposed to be $8.00? ;) redwin: Star notes are often worth more than non-stars (dependent upon condition of course) however these uncut sheets were left overs sold by the BEP to collectors instead of destroying them, as they were not needed for their intended replacement usage. I can't tell from your scan, and it could just be the scan is badly cropped, but if the margins of the notes are cut off that can devalue your notes/sheet. I don't know what you paid for your sheet but that other auction is pretty outrageous, plus the seller has a quantity of 10 available and they sure don't seem to be moving very fast. There may be some people who collect fancy SNs and the binary star notes may fetch a premium amongst those collectors. While there may be such collectors they may not collect uncut sheets and those who do collect uncut sheets will know what they are worth and that they were first sold as 'collectibles'. Your notes, the F-1935D* Series 1976 $2 Cleveland district book at EF $10 / Unc-63 $25 (but those are just book estimates, not market prices). There was a printage of 1,280,000 reported. To best determine their value watch other completed auctions on eBay and sign up for a free Heritage Auctions account where you can access currency auction archives to see what similar notes realize.
