    Hello,

I found a 1944 Wheat Penny. It has no mint marks on it that I can see. Is this possibly worth anything???

1944 is a very common date, especial from the Philadelphia mint (no mint mark).

If it had a D (Denver) mint mark with that D printed over an S, it could be worth a substantial amount of money. But those are rare.

Yours is probably worth less than 10 cents, depending on condition

    D over S:

Find someone near you that knows numismatics very well and can give you the grade of your coinage and the fair market value

First, welcome to the neighborhood, Gisela!

Very typically, young people like you think that any coin minted 25 years before they were born is old. How old is old?

My young son found a 1944 wheat penny today with a mint mark of “s”. Worth anything or worth saving for a rainy day ;) thanks!
