.....but I'll still have typos. Hey folks, Some of you know that I've been here for few months now. I REALLY enjoy the site. So much information and opinions shared. I have noticed one disturbing trend though. KNOW IT ALLS. Hey, it's great that there are SO MANY REALLY KNOWLEDGEABLE members out there but must you talk down to those that aren't as savvy? Honestly it really doesn't bother me personally. Irritates me a bit when I'm the target but I can take it. What bothers me is the way some people respond to "newbies". I'm talking newbies to the greatest hobby on earth here. MOST of the time when these people ask a question they get GREAT advice and opinions but on other occasions it's more like "how can you be so stupid?". I look at it this way, these people have taken the time to find the site in order to learn. A question may seem silly to some but think about when you first decided to start collecting. Did you know what you do now? Many of us go way back before computers and had to buy books and read and most of us still do but is it that difficult to share what you've learned in a civil manner? I can be curt myself and often without intending to be. Some of what I see is just plain rude. Think about that the next time your fingers touch the keyboard. P.S. I actually do know the average air speed of an unladen swallow (both African and European)!
