[QUOTE="sonlarson, post: 539482, member: 15488"]My wife and i made this show today. Our first. I was suprised at how many people were crammed in that small room. One of the dealers said she liked it that way because it limited the number of dealers and hence more customers. this was my first show and i tried to follow everyones tips from my earlier post. I did pick up a couple of the Seated Liberty I was looking for. A half Dime, Quarter, and half dollar. Nothing special but I did pay less than I expected, so I am happy.

My wife, who is bored by my collecting habit, stopped and brought to my attention a 1989 Silver Panda from China. I asked her if she wanted it and BINGO!, she got a coin.

I was not expecting to see the large number of dealers selling World coins, and there seemed to be a lot of interest in that area. World coins is my favorite but todays goal was the Seated Liberties so I did not stop or I would still be there and broke as well.

I looked at a 1950d nickel which was the last hole in my Jefferson collection, which was marked BU and looked BU. I inquired how much and was told $25. I handed it back to the dealer and told him "no thanks". He didn't even ask me to make an offer. I found a much better coin 2 tables down and bought it for $16. I was tempted to go over to the other dealer and see if he would make me an offer but figured that was his problem.

I think next time I go, I will go near the end of the event on the last day instead early on the first day. I was not expecting to see the large number of dealers selling World coins, and there seemed to be a lot of interest in that area. World coins is my favorite but todays goal was the Seated Liberties so I did not stop or I would still be there and broke as well.
