Mintages range from a low of around 20,00 for several issues up to 126,000 for the Gettysburg.

There are 2 different versions of these 5 ounce coins made: There is a bullion version, sold to dealers, and there is an uncirculated version sold to collectors. The uncirculated ones are vapor blasted to give a more matte finish, whereas the bullion ones are usually shinier. The uncirculated ones also have a P mintmark, the bullion ones have no mintmark. The uncirculated version also generally have a lower mintage (ranging from a low around 15,000 to a high of 28,000). My new purchase is one of the bullion version.
