    Congratulations, @David Atherton, I tend to do what everyone else is doing, so reading this thread I guess I'll start collecting modern coins too - no more ancients! This modern denarius is my first acquisition - got it on EBay today for only $250 - less than half what the seller originally asked:

    it looks well used (I'm easing into modern - MS-70 is something I'll have to learn to appreciate) and it registers a high score on the Geiger counter.

    I quite enjoyed the April Fool's Day joke. I'll never forget the time some years back in my old time radio hobby when one of the foremost experts in very early radio went into exquisite detail about how a whole season of a holy grail series was found. Many were livid when it was revealed to be an April Fool's Day joke.
