I need a little help here (actually a lot). It's made of copper and is 10cm in diameter. Any idea? Country, Year?
Are you sure it is 10cm? That is over 4 inches and huge! 10mm sounds more likely. The writing is Arabic I believe, and I think I see the date 1318AH, which is around 1900CE, so that might help you narrow down the search.
Is this coin from another coin forum? Are you trying to help someone else again? It's not a coin you usually post and I don't remember you ever cropping the coin as it is shown.
Agreed- 10cm would be a pretty gigantic coin- closer to the diameter of a small hamburger. And a little bigger than one of those "sliders" you get at Krystal here in the South, or White Castle up north. But 10mm would be pretty tiny, like an aspirin tablet. Neither would be an impossible size for a coin- but both are a bit unusual.
Nicely done, Strawberry Dude! Hm. So 10~ish mm is correct, then. Pretty small. 10cm would’ve been a real whopper. What a name! Double M, double A, double D, double E!
