probably won't be delivered if insurance claims have been made already. not only that but the packages were out there in the weather for whatever the amount of time. Pretty sure, it's all insurance pay outs for lost packages. and the guy that did it will get some restitution and jail for cargo theft, even if he didn't take anything and just dumped it, it didn't get to where it was supposed to go. Anyways, I doubt thee packages finish their route at this point, it's all going to be damage/loss claims and insurance payouts tot he affected people for whatever the packages were insured for/ fair market value.
half the time the USPS doesn't make the receiver sign off on the certified mail cards. none of them are immune to laziness,
Its not laziness its covid policy that they dont have to anymore. This has been the case for well over a year. They can just sign for anything themselves and leave it. That goes for all the mail services
Hey, I'll be happy to start swinging by and checking your mailbox for you! What was your address again?
How would any of you like to have a very expensive rare gold coin delivered by this chump? Would it be insured? What if there is not another gold coin like the one you purchased? Now what?
I'm not sure how many more times I should have to say this in this thread or over months. IT IS A COVID POLICY THAT CARRIERS CAN SIGN THEMSELVES AND DO NOT HAVE TO GET A PHYSICAL SIGNATURE. It's been in place FOR OVER A YEAR and should not be surprising. Don't like it pressure politicians to change it and vote differently. Otherwise that is what those at the top of the government have implemented for social distancing It has nothing to do with the seller, and very little to do with the carrier. Sould they ring the door and leave things at the house yes, but health officials have implemented polices that have allowed them to deliver like that. It's as simple as that.
It is what it is and yeah, a person should have additional insurance on anything of value. I did find the articles interesting that they valued the missing packages all at the $100 base insurance rate of coverage.
I wouldn't be too cavalier about losing the 2021 American Liberty High Relief Gold coin if mine was not recoverable because some chump decided to trash the packages that he has stewardship over. Even if I was reimbursed what I paid for it, I might not be able to afford another one.
