This is NOT an advertisement. I just like what I've seen so far. If you are fond of US half cents, Ed Fuhrman has a new book out. The Half Cent Handbook/Draped Bust Varieties/1800-1808. (Classic Head and Braided Hair half cents will be covered in volume 2 coming out later this year.) I bought it because US half cents are one of my primary interests so I wanted the latest info on die varieties and die states. Plus I think he also had older collectors in mind (I'll be 80 this year). The print size is larger and thus easily readable compared to other coin books I have. Just an FYI.
I fell in love with the Half Cent after buying Breen's Half Cent Guide...and the 1804 in particular for its variety of die pairs/states. I have a few Uncs and AUs, but most are in the F-XF range. My favorite is the Cohen-5...the "Frankenstein" Half Cent. I have at least a dozen of that variety alone. I understand that much of Breen's info is out of date so I'm definitely looking forward to see where Ed Fuhman's book differs.
