Thanks for the kind words. It took me about two years to assemble the above coins. As far as the chain cent -- I don't have one either. :computer: Happiness at this point would be a nice VF liberty cap. :goofer: Take care...Mike
Well today I picked up a 1917 standing liberty type 1 quarter very-fine ,and a 1857 half dime in grade fine for my type set. Got a good deal on them so will put them in and upgrade later. Also looked at a trade dollar grade was ex-fine however will get that later the draped bust half cent is still my best deal yet it is ex-fine 45 got her last week. BRUCE "THE FRANK GROUP"
Just be careful with that Trade dollar! There are more fakes from the orient than there are real ones, or just go to ebay & buy a fake.
Frank, I have been going to the same dealer for a long time I only buy from him it's the real thing he has always done right by me. And yes you are right the trade dollar is a coin you can get burned on real easy. BRUCE "THE FRANK GROUP"
Oh, Thank you for catching me up. Thanks for the introduction. I believe that is next for me. What a really good idea!
I can't stand an empty hole in any album So first I'll fill the hole, then I take my time and find a nice upgrade. Oh yeah, upgrading is fun!!
Biggupp, If you look at Leadfoot or Becky's dansco album and all the U S coins that are in it you will be better able to see just what coins are in a 7070 set. They both have very nice sets and if you start a set it will be a learning experience on all are U S coinage good luck. BRUCE "THE FRANK GROUP"
Today I picked up my trade dollar for my type set it is a 1878-s in ex-fine I have been buying from the same dealer for a long time I am in his shop two times a week. I ordered my book!! But I was wondering, would you guys open a "slabbed" coin to fill a hole in your 7070 book. And how do you open one?? How do I get a look at Leadfoot or Becky's dansco album?
