I was serving as a runner for the Battalion HQ. I made a run to 4th Brigade HQ and then to division HQ. They found out that I could type, so I became a law clerk and court recorder. Over 300 courts-martials in 2 years. I got order to go to Vietnam, but became exempt because my father and my brother were already there.
