Hopefully there will be no further delays. The new $100 bill has been due out since 2005. I would think that 5 years is plenty long enough to make a new $100 bill better than a fortress of steel worth of security features. I do know that, before 2005, they wanted to release the $10 first, because they were looking for new features for the $100, then they made the decission not to redesign the $5 bill again, then that decission was reversed, due to a scam of bleaching $5s and printing 4100s on them, due to their similarly located security features, then I heard that the new $5 if redesigned, would come out after, NOT before, after the new $100, in other words, the $100 was going to come out before the new $5, now we have this even longer delay, so please, do not tell me they might wait until the spring of 2011, or the wait to see them may drive me bonkers. :goofer:

Thanks a lot for the release dates. I actually thought about the latest currency redesign series, and thought "Wait a minute. The Treasury has stated that the larger denomination U.S. currency will be redesigned every 7-10 years or so, right? So, from 2003 to 2010, that already equals 7 years, so, the Treasury should be about ready to release a new redesigned series just as the soon-to-be $100 bill is coming out" Did anyone else notice that? However, I think I read somewhere before, that the Treasury will not release another new series until around 2012 or so (probably after the presidental run, I'm guessing) and that is when they stated that features for the blind may be incorperated into all denominations.

Well hopefully we will see the January BEP report soon. I just got done viewing the December 2009 report. Nothing yet. So hopefully January will be our month. But darn it, I was actually hoping for a quick summer last year, because the new $100s were supposed to be out in late 2008, early 2009 then it changed all the wait to 2010, and I just thought, "You gotta be shi...err...um...kidding me". :goofer:
