    Just picked up these tokens from Tavistock, where Drake was born. Four different ones, but only two shown here as they fit the Sailing ship theme. Common reverse.

    Common reverse - clearly some big promotion in 1980. The other two obverses are of Drake landing on a foreign shore, and of him being knighted by Elizabeth I. If you don't know about Drake, here is the Wiki page: Francis Drake.

    El Draco, still well hated by the locals in Cartagena. He and his men not only singed the beard of the Spaniard, they also did a very thorough job of rape, pillage and plunder.

    Island nations continued, though Lundy isn't technically a nation so much as a part of Britain.

    Martin Coles Harman apparently got himself into a bit of hot water by minting these coins for the island of Lundy in the Bristol Channel.
