    Umm... that's Spain, not Africa? :confused:

    Edit: oh, I see- you were goin' with the old "crowned critters" theme, weren't you? Those lions have teeny crowns on 'em.

    Don't feel bad. I had a crowned critter all lined up, too, until I saw the theme had changed.

    I had an 1896(?) ZAR sixpence on the old Holey Coin Vest, but can't find a picture of it now. :(

    Nor, for that matter, the 1790s Sierra Leone dollar, which was probably my rarest "holey" on the vest.

    Also re. Africa, I had a nice 1972 Tanzania 5-shilingi FAO issue as a pocket piece last month, until I lost it. That's why I can't do pocket pieces. I had saved this one out of a bulk lot for sentimental reasons- I used to get one of those for my allowance every week when I was a kid (we lived in Tanzania in 1972).
