    I still have all my FM Proof Sets from 74/75/76. They were beautifull in design. Mine are all still in plastic safety capsulation/ so the coins are all proof 70 no toning/ oxidation. Imagine how beautifull those 16/17/18th century German States AR 1/2/3/4/5/6/7/8/10 Thalers would be/ if they had been encapsulated back when they were minted. At least gold stays perfect/ if not touched/ circulated.:)

    Absolutely agree. Too many people dismiss the FM productions but the designs are beautiful. I love all of mine.

    Those FM issues got me hooked on collecting. I would say that the Franklin Mint did everything to perfection. The coins were all beautifull in their motifs/ engraving. Presentation boxes also were made to look good and offer safe resting place for coins. The plastic trays a really neat idea to preserve coins appeal. My favorite proof set was the Belize special silver set. Barbados/ Papua-New Guinea sets also stunning.
