Someone in the 19th century Dutch East Indies tried to turn this Dutch cent of 1827 into a Chinese cash coin.

 

Here is your 1827 cent before perforation. Also a zink 1918 Belgium 50 centimes

 

Well, I also have this Dutch cent of 1867 (in fact a cast forgery) that was cut to function as a gas token.



And here is a real gas token from Örebro, Sweden (1959). Sorry, this token is not mine. But it is holed and it shows the notch that was cut into gas tokens in the 1920-1970 period - in certain West European countries.
