@TuckHard - as for the Nuremberg jeton, I have a piece much like it, but with a Venetian obverse.
Here's an article about these 'coins' showing what they were used for.



Nuremberg jeton, 16th century. Obv. Venetian winged lion holding the Gospel of St. Mark. Rev. Imperial orb with cross in a tressure with three arches and three corners 27 mm, 8.05 gr.

 

I've been to the site before and it's got a lot of great information, probably the best one I've seen.

This one has a lot of sentimental value to it, the summer of my 16th birthday my cousin and I went to the Big Apple (family fun center type venue) where he got stood up for a date so we spent too long waiting and hanging out and had to speed like crazy home to get back in time before our grandma could chew us out for being late. Would've been much smarter just to be ten minutes late but we made it back safely and right on time. I carried the token with me until last year for good luck.

Neat, I've never seen anything like this before. My coin here is circulated, which is especially unusual for a gilded example. Perhaps it was a carry piece.

Don't know what these were made for, but they are certainly well-researched fantasies after high medieval pennies. American-manufactured five or ten years ago.
