Wow, @Steve66 - that Haitian 2c is gorgeous!

"Fish" was more difficult for me than I had thought (and "seashell" was impossible - I've had those Bahamian coins, and plenty with fish - but no pictures of 'em.)

Hmm ... here we go ... the fish ain't too noticeable in this particular case, but it's there.

I think I posted this coin earlier in this thread - with a "mythical beasties" or "sea monsters" theme? Eh, I'm too lazy to go back and look, so here 'tis again:

Sicily, Akragas: silver hemidrachm, ca. 410-406 BC

Obverse- eagle right, clutching dead hare in its talons, barley grain behind.
Reverse- Crab, with ketos below, swimming left with fish in its jaws.

    16 mm, 1.8 g. SNG ANS 1012. Ex-Gitbud-Naumann, Germany, through VCoins store, 5/28/2014.

Playing from this same coin, why don't we try "crustaceans" next.

Thanks, but this is two separate coins... Liberia 2 cent, and a Haiti 50 gourdes.

    D'oh!

Well, in defense of my lame-brainedness, you will note that I posted that at 3:57 AM my time. LOL. ;)
