    When this Italy 500 Lire coin was originally issued, the flags on the ships were depicted flying into the wind direction. It looked nice but it was technically very wrong. All my examples show the flags flowing down wind as normal. Next theme is FLAGS

    I don't know much about these. This is the 1st time I have noticed that there is no denominational value engraved on this coin. Is this a coin or token? I know dumb question.

    This Crown is listed in the catalog of Unusual World Coins [ a companion volume to the Standard Catalog of World Coins ]. It is a 1946 Issue. X#M2b with a mintage of 1,000, 28.100 g. Silver. I got it because coinage with Edward VIII is hard to find.
