    Die cracks are very commone on Morgans dollars and are often used to Identify the VAM number of that particular date and mint mark. A VAM is basicly a "varity" based on Die Pairing front and back and the differences on each die including cracks, chips and polish lines, doubling etc... Vams get very fasinating very quickly once you look into them at bit.
