That quarter sure is nice, but let's get to some dimes! As I claimed on the post a frankie post, I think some circulated examples are underrated so here's a few.
A couple more: From my treasured collection: Sigh...here is my sore thumb. I keep trying to find the '28S in small mint mark in XF or better. I found a VF at a coin show years ago and snubbed it off. Couple years later I still couldn't find one and found this one in a junk bin and bought for a $1.25. Maybe one day I'll catch that elusive unicorn called 1928 small S in XF.
very interesting......Not sure if you are aware or not but it is very rare to find a Proof mercury with color. This one has the nicest color toning I have seen to date. others are usually very crusty and brown. No offense but it doesn't have the best strike so I would assume the color is what gave it the 67
Just an image I took to catch the color. It's not possible to grade proofs from images. We need a Merc. dime or anything dated 1945.
I have seen plenty of fantastically toned proof Mercury Dimes in auction over the years. Here is a proof set that Anaconda had for sale. I guess this means the next poster can choose which denomination they want to post next. Kinda like a wild card.
Interesting coins Lehigh, I would imagine the reason you see so many is because we are looking in different places......just so happens your looking in the right ones
