Those are a couple of very nice Yugo's! Too bad they aren't printed that way still, eh?

As for the Chinese notes, I should add that the one I posted is very similar in nature to the old US Broken Banknotes/Obsoletes. They were issued locally, and some are remainders, some not. The purple and red stamps are actually seals - not quite chopmarks, but seals from the issuing bank and government agencies attesting to the authenticity and also serving as a form of security feature: Those that appear to be half off the paper have a 'receipt' at the issuing authority. The rarity is as yet unknown, as the market is still primarily at a trickle. I have a couple of sources, but even they are 'hit and miss' on the cool looking ones that I am after - those with great vignettes. As yet, the most I've spent on a Chinese note is 38 US dollars. Most were in the low to mid 20 dollar range. Let's watch those prices rocket off like those French notes, eh?

I'll try to get this thread moving again with an old boring "1000"... looks like you stumped us with a 1931 1000 Dave :)

    1918 early Soviet 1000 Rubles.

Maybe someone can carry on the 1918...

1918 appears to be a good year... Local (notgeld) issue in France:

1918 100 Ruble provisional... that's all for me for tonight, I'll make room for others to jump in. But 1918 is very productive so far.

I beg forgiveness if I post out of whack here but I consider the request for a value not to be part of this thread. But will post a 1000 value note but wanted to post
    this star note from India:

And for this one it is 1000 Guarnies, HOWEVER it is also an error note in that it has
    mismatched serial numbers:

Dennis, to answer your question with reference, your note in Standard Catalog of World Paper Money, Modern Issues 1961-Present (21st edition), page 132 is listed as a P-167a, meaning an issued note. Values VF-$.30; Unc-$1.00
    Hope this helps.

Got thinking that trying to find a 1000 note of some kind to post might be a bit difficult, so I decided to lower the bar a little bit and post a 1 denomination, leaves the field wide open to continue this neat little thread; so without further ado a 1:

Yes, of course, it's a radar note.
