sorry it was meant to go on to the next denomination and the note was used in a prison camp that amongst other inmates held american POW's

Well according to the rules in the OP:

By "year" I assumed he meant *Series* year, which is why I matched a USD$1 Series 2006 to ikandiggit's Honk Kong 2006 note.

So we can go with $1 denominations next or the other factors given by the OP. I also suggested we might be allowed to match grades on holders of graded currency to further add some twists and turns and prevent getting stuck on one Series or denomination.

 

Thanks! I quite enjoyed it too. I later did a little reading about the signer., that guy is a real character to say the least!
