A Claudius II Gothicus that fits your description (IOVI STATORI) but not the coin (IOVI VICTORI).

If we want to keep this going, let's keep the options on a simpler side, not obscure.

Not all of us have "Jupiter Stator".

Silver Denarius of Optimo Princeps, Trajan! I got a good deal on this bad boy because the legend is mostly illegible in hand. It doesn't help that much of it is spilling off of the flan. Still a beauty! Next coin: a very bad emperor TrajanVictoryDenarIncitatus.jpeg

TRAJAN AR silver denarius. Rome, 103-111 AD. IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P, laureate head of Trajan right, drapery on left shoulder. Reverse - COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC, Victory advancing left on pile of shields, wreath upward in right hand, palm in left. RIC II 129. 18mm, 3.4g.

Bad emperor? Bad boy? Pontius Pilatus would say : "Here's your guy !"

Bassianus, AKA Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Pius, AKA Elagabalus (reigned 218-222). Compared to his parties, Caligula's orgies seemed like Victorian era Calvinist Sundays.

For being named after such great emperors, he really turned out poorly.

I think this young man (emperor at 14, assassinated at 18) has been ill-famed by history, but actually was not the debauchery record breaker depicted by Cassius Dio or the late 4th c. author of the Historia Augusta. Everyone who ever had a teenage son will see what I mean.

Right, the Emperors of Rome podcast (my main source of information) has reiterated time and again that Cassius Dio is known for blowing things out of proportion because that's what people want to read. They also say that the Historia Augusta is not as reliable as would be preferred. Either way, we know for sure that Elagabalus is definitely not the archetypical roman emperor. Even so, who knows what would have happened had he matured a bit.

I asked an AI to make an image of a coin of Maximian, I don't think this counts so I'm not going to change it. Kind of cool, though.
