This is a favorite of mine for a strange reason. The reverse type IVNO REGINA was used by Manlia Scantilla so some of these Domna's have been tooled to become something they are not.

I obviously do not understand where to hover since I do not get the post count but just my member number.

    Edit:
Oh, MINI-Avatar from the thread list page not the ones inside the thread itself. 496 That means 5% of this thread is my drivel.

A horribly tooled example of a previously unique BM coin of an alliance coin from Aphrodisias and Ephesus.

Here's my as of Aurelian, with Digamma A in exergue. I know of no other asses of Aurelian that have two letters in the exergue, and so this coin, as far as I know, is an oddity and unique.

    unlisted aurelian as.png

When I bought it, I thought it was a denarius (I'd like to say due to the seller's pictures, but it was probably because of my experience lol). So next, I would like to see a coin that you bought, thinking it was something else...

This RR As was part of a lot in a CNG auction, only a part was visible and I thought it could be a cast As but it wasn't , just a common struck one:

My first ancient coins lot, filled with surprises.
This little guy, with a small flan and with edge issues, appears to be a rare Delmatius.

Delmatius, AE follis. Siscia. AD 335-337. FL DELMATIVS NOB C, laureate, draped, cuirassed bust right / GLOR-IA EXERC-ITVS, two soldiers holding spears and shields with one standard between them with O on banner. Mintmark: ASIS star. RIC VII Siscia 266; Sear 16895.

Next - another surprise from a lot.

This came in a really cheap group of Chinese coins, most were from the expected Song and Qing dynasty but bundled in there was this Jin dynasty coin, my first (and currently only) one from the rulers. At some point I'll definitely need to update!

When I think of Parthian tets I think of the month dated ones. This usually means you get a coin off center favoring the bottom where the month is located. This is ΑΠΕΛΛΙΟΥ or November year 464 (152 AD with Vologases IV.
