    That will be a tough one! Very nice coin @panzerman! If I could pick one Lombard king to have a coin of, he'd be it.

    My thoughts exactly. I don't recall anyone else here having a Lombard coin. If no one steps up by later tonight I've got something sort of related that can be substituted.

    Here is a coin of Tarsos in Cilicia:

    Usually said to be of Datames (378-372 BC), but some now think the lettering says "Tadanmu". Struck 374-373 BC
    Countermark of a bull in a rectangle with lettering B'L for Baal.
    ANSMN 31 (1986) plate 2.20, countermark 7, page 61.
    SNG von Aulock 5940.
    DeCallatay RQEMA&C type 276 reports a die study of the type found 106 dies among 296 coins.

    Too slow! Use @randigeki's "corn ears" theme.

    This coin missed being medieval by a few years. Minted shortly after gaining it's independence from Bavaria.
