@Roman Collector, I think it was (with thanks to @JayAg47) 'a coin from a kingdom that came under the British rule!'
The English got into the colonization game early. This is my less than great Dublin penny of King John.

That is just a beautiful example, @JayAg47. Wish I could read Any of it.
...Yeah, the British East India Company. Demonstrating that in the context of British colonialism, just for one, commercial interests preceded political ones, even this early in the aggregate process. ...Thank you, eventuating in that much of the map being 'the pink bits.'
...Most of which (colonialism --that is, politically, in dramatic contrast to the ongoing commercial dynamics --mercifully ended, in the more screamingly explicit ways, after the second of the 'World Wars.' The first of which Should have summarily put a stop to all such nonsense.
...In history, you kind of 'can't always get what you want.' ...Do I need to find some Stones on YouTube?
(...Thinking of going to Hendrix, "Machine Gun," live, from the album Band of Gypsys instead.

I've posted late so many times that I refresh the page now before I hit the post reply button. The worst is replying to the last post on the page only to realize there are 2 or 3 pages more.
