Here is a jeton that I have never been able to identify correctly or find a match with either legend. I don't have Mitchiner's work but I searched about everywhere I could online for a match to no avail. If anyone is able to shine any light, I'd be eternally grateful.

Here's a British trade token from 1793. These are sometimes referred to as "Conder Tokens", after James Conder who published a book on the subject in 1798, "An Arrangement of Provincial Coins Tokens and Medalets". These coins were issued by private businesses to address a shortage of coins in the late 18th century, and soon well-accepted as currency. Workmen would be paid part of their wages in these small coins.

This coin appears in the book as #55 under "Farthing size" and "Coins Not Local" which are coins with no reference to a specific county, city or town.

Is it possible that we move away from machine-made coins, since we are in the Ancients Forum? I am really good with Medievals, cuz they are hammered.

I have pfennig from Austria that I think was from an ecclesiastical mint. I don't know much else.

Here are three variants of the "same" coin, albeit different denominations in size and a (probably) illicitly produced debased copper example.

Hmmm.... Debased series of same coin, due to Hannibal smashing the Roman State. Rome lost upwards of 175,000 Legionaries killed in the fields over 3 successive battles during an 18 month period (Battles of Trebbia, Lake Trasimene, and Cannae), during the 2nd Punic War (218-201 BCE).
