    I recently purchased a denier from Aquitaine minted in the name of Richard Coeur de Lion that has a lovely tone to it.

    This one fits the OBLONG and RAINBOW TONING...

    In hand, it has a lot of blue and gold toning, with a spectrum of red and orange...

    I believe it is all natural toning...

    Here is one, this coin revitalized Chinese coinage after a period of low activity and it became so popular and wide spread that it was locally imitated in places as distant as the Ferghana Valley of Central Asia and Sumatra of Southeast Asia.
