    I presume you mean Volusian Antoninianus, not denarius (because denarii were not produced under Trebonianus Gallus and Volusian).

    Arados fourree 4dr in the name of Alexander the Great. The crack across the reverse figure is diagnostic of this die that produced a better fourree which I have reported twice to sellers (once to Tom Cederlind who removed it from his sale) that listed it as solid. I recall it weighed less than my coin's 13.8g. I do wonder what ever happened to that coin. g71980b00321.jpg

    multiple techniques shared on CT for how to free a coin (deck & shoe technique the most disturbing to me), I am a fan of the claw hammer method, 16oz a nice weight: strike the edge - not the face of the holder:
