    This one took months to arrive. It wasn't because it was tied up in customs overseas or because of post-office delays, but because of some shenanigans at the auction house (claimed they didn't receive payment though I paid the day the auction closed, then the auction house didn't actually have it in their possession but had to get it from the consignor).

    Die-clash which you can see in the photo on the obverse with the "S" (from Reverse "CORDIVS") and incuse border of dots to the right near the obverse border of dots. M from the reverse and part of Minerva's Aegis also less visible in the photo, but present from the die-clash.

    Later in the 5th century the flans became thicker and a stork was added. This one is unusual because the die axes were not aligned exactly 12H (0 degrees) but rotated about 1/8 turn (1-2H) and somewhat off center. This would not have worked for a very thin flan.

    I paused at "one dead", elephant and lion skin head-dresses came to mind. Here's an Alexander III drachm - one dead lion, one live eagle - and the gremlin (Artemis) under the chair, Zeus, and Alexander are all extra "animals".

    A didrachm from maroneia, my first coin for 2020, won at a ridiculously low price... Unfortunately I have had a very bad success rate ever since that magic auction.
