    Not in RIC:

    Maximian2GENIOPOPROMmmPTR06150.jpg

Maximian, second reign, or Galerius, struck autumn 307-end 308
    GENIO POP ROM
    S A in fields
    PTR in exergue
RIC VI page 217 --, unlisted. Reverse of 766-769 but obverse legend of 772b. Normally this type has a longer obverse legend with "C VAL" inserted. RIC attributes these to Maximian, but I think there is an argument they are really Galerius. On page 217 legend 3a must be Maximian ("IMP C M AVREL VAL MAXIMIANVS PF AVG"), but 3b "IMP C VAL MAXIMIANVS PF AVG" should be of Galerius and the portrait of this one looks like Galerius to me. So, I think RIC's legend 3c,[3 refers to Maximian], "IMP MAXIMIANVS PF AVG" should be renumbered as 1a [1 refers to Galerius].
Either way, it is not in RIC.

    Next: Maximian

My apologies, I am afraid my post was much out of sequence - I dallied too long in composing it - I have posted it elsewhere.
