Franklin Mint, we have not forgotten you. Much maligned, artistry and die engraving first rate. This 1976 Papua New Guinea 10 Kina is a good example, with well executed simple design of IMHO pleasing artistry. This coin is matte (M) uncirculated graded MS66, Mintage 82. Please post your comments and representative examples.
I don't know what anyone would have against Franklin Mint coins. Is it that they are more targeted at collectors than as circulation coins? Here's my 10 kina in proof format. The rest are also proof but unfortunately I scanned them back when I wasn't taking coins out of the cases to get pictures so they're not as good as they could be.
I think you'll appreciate this too. Last week at my LCS I bought all these partial sets for $3 each. Someone took the big coins out of each one but still.
